Members must be eighteen years of age and older to register on Bag End. The administration apologises in advance, but we are unable to provide a forum for anybody below the age of eighteen.

New members - please note that you are not allowed to post anything advertising other journals, publications, websites, message boards and similar until your membership has reached that of Copper Bag Ender (25 posts). To do so will be considered as spamming, that you are only using Bag End to advertise and the relevant post/s will be removed.

All members - please be courteous and respectful of everybody registering and posting at Bag End. Please keep arguments outside of the board. Bag End is a safe place, please allow it to remain so.

All creative work is copyrighted and remains the property of the creator. DO NOT COPY AND REPOST POETRY OR PROSE FROM THIS BOARD WITHOUT PRIOR CONSENT FROM THE AUTHOR.

Please take into consideration the family atmosphere of Bag End when choosing a user name. User names chosen must be non-offensive to other members and guests. User names of an offensive or abusive nature (however mild) will not be tolerated.

Please will new members make their initial post within two weeks of registering to ensure their continuing membership.

Please comment on or critique at least two poems for each one you post.

If you DO want a critique or any suggestions on your work, please put 'crits please' or similar in the header box, otherwise it will be assumed you do not want this and are simply sharing your poem instead.

Please post no more than two new poems in the Study per day, not counting responses within threads. This ensures that all members get a fair reading and poems are not pushed off the first page without a reply. This does not apply to the other forums. In those you can post as much as you like.

Please comment on at least two other posts for each one poem you post in the Study.

Although Bag End is essentially a poetry board, prose is very welcome within the poetry forums.

The following forums are open for guest viewing: The Study, The Parlour, and Alan's Conservatory. To post in any of these you are required to register.

To view and post in The Bag Enders' Potting Shed you are required to register.

B's Cellar is an archive of the best of Bag End over the last six plus years and is viewable only by members.
